Welcome
Hello! My name is Tyra Clary, and this is my GIS portfolio for GIST 604B – Open Source GIS at the University of Arizona.
This portfolio highlights my growth in GIS through projects involving QGIS, PostGIS, Python, GeoPandas, OpenStreetMap, Leaflet, and web mapping.
My background as a former Division 1 softball athlete has shaped the way I approach GIS work: with discipline, teamwork, and problem-solving.

About Me
I am a GIS graduate student at the University of Arizona with a background in public health and geospatial technology. I currently work with the State of South Dakota government, supporting GIS workflows and spatial data initiatives.
I have experience with spatial analysis, open-source GIS tools, databases, and web mapping. I enjoy using GIS to organize data, support decision-making, and create clear visualizations.
As a former Division 1 softball athlete, I bring leadership, teamwork, discipline, and strong communication skills into my work.
